2011 Catholic New Media Award Winners

I’m here in Houston for the first annual CatholiCon Expo which has been a blast. I’ve met many online friends for the first time, attended some great workshops, and talked a lot about The Church and New Media book (and even sold some copies!).

The fun continues tonight as the winners of the 2011 Catholic New Media Awards will be announced at about 8:30pm CT (9:30pm ET). There are more than thirty categories with hundreds of nominees and even though the list is heavy on bloggers and pocasters, it represents some of the best Catholic new media out there. If you’re looking to start blogging, podcasting, or using social media, the winners will provide some great examples to imitate.

I’ll be live-blogging the ceremony tonight so check back to discover the winners as soon as they’re announced.
