Last night at 11:32pm, my wife heroically delivered little Augustine Xavier Vogt. Both were champs. Kathleen gave birth to the 9 lb, 20.5 inch saint without medicine, and Augustine survived a scary moment when he emerged with the umbilical cord wrapped twice around his neck.
But God and his Mother carried us through, and everyone is doing great. Thanks for all the prayers and support!
(Also, in case you’re wondering, Augustine already finished off the entire 60-volume set of the Great Books of the Western World. His first words? “What else you got?”)
