Free Stuff Friday (09/17)

“Find out how much God has given you and from it take what you need; the remainder is needed by others.” – St. Augustine

Because I’ve built up a collection of duplicate books and resources, every Friday you’ll have a chance to win one or more of these items, absolutely free, no strings attached. For more background go here, and to see a list of past giveaways go here.

In honor of Pope Benedict’s current trip to Great Britain, during which he will beatify Cardinal John Henry Newman this Sunday, we have a special giveaway.

Today’s giveaway is a copy of Cardinal John Henry Newman’s autobiography, “Apologia Pro Vita Sua”, which is translated “a defense of one’s life” (don’t worry, the book isn’t written in Latin). Newman originally wrote the book to explain his reasoning for converting from Anglicanism to Catholicism, but the writings eventually morphed into a full-fledged spiritual autobiography.

(If you don’t win this copy, head over to Amazon.com and purchase a copy for just $5)

To enter to win, fill out your name and e-mail address in the form below. None of your information will ever be given out, and I will only use it to contact the winner. The winner will be selected on Saturday using a random generator, and the giveaway item(s) will be sent out, free-of-charge, shortly thereafter.

In the future, I will be giving away books, CD’s, and DVD’s, sometimes more than one item per giveaway. Check back next Friday!

(One entry per person, please. The deadline for each entry will be 11:59pm each Friday. Since I’m covering the shipping costs, only residents within the continental United States will be eligible to win.)

Update: The drawing is closed for Friday 9/17. Congratulations Debbie E. for winning this week–check your e-mail for instructions on receiving the book. Come back next Friday for another giveaway!
