She’s here! Teresa Abigail Vogt, our second child, was born completely healthy at 6lb 11oz on Friday, October 8, 2010.
We named her after three of our spiritual heroes, St. Therese of Lisieux , St. Teresa of Avila, and Blessed Teresa of Calcutta. With a due date of October 19, my wife was hoping throughout the pregnancy that she would be born on either the feast day of St. Therese (10/1) or the feast day of St. Teresa (10/15).
However, in the most beautiful compromise, she was born on 10/8, precisely in the middle of both feasts. And, to boot, she was born in 2010, the 100th anniversary of the year Blessed Teresa of Calcutta was born.
