One of today’s most oft-repeated tropes is that “science has disproven God”. The insinuation is that scientific advancement directly contradicts belief in a transcendent Creator, and thus hailing one requires denouncing the other.

Yet this couldn’t be further from the truth. As Fr. Robert Spitzer notes, “There has never been a better time to affirm the close relationship between science, philosophy, reason, and faith.” The head of the Magis Center for Faith and Reason has been a tireless advocate of the extraordinary new evidence for God found in modern physics and cosmology. His latest book, New Proofs for the Existence of God: Contributions of Contemporary Physics and Philosophy, is a groundbreaking text which shows how faith and reason elegantly complement each other.
