Weekly Giveaway (10/7)

“Find out how much God has given you and from it take what you need; the remainder is needed by others.” – St. Augustine

Because I’ve built up a large collection of duplicate books and resources, each week I’m giving away one or more of these items, absolutely free, no strings attached.

You can enter anytime during each week for that week’s giveaway, with a new giveaway beginning each Friday. To see a list of past giveaways, go here.

This week’s giveaway is in honor of today’s Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. St. Louis de Monfort’s classic book, The Secret of the Rosary, is one of the best on this popular devotion. Here’s one of the many five-star reviews from Amazon:

This book brings to dazzling heights the essential strength of St. Louis de Montfort – to explicate the essence and implications of a pious practice and show the vast implications that it can have in the life of the individual and the life of the Church. I became devoted to the Rosary as a result of reading this book, and likely an unbiased reader will as well. It is charming and motivating and well worth the read – it is a part of your library that you will refer to again and again, in good times and in bad.

In order to win this week’s giveaway, leave a comment below answering this question:

What is your favorite prayer or devotion?

The winning comment will be randomly selected on Friday morning using a random number generator, and the giveaway item(s) will be sent out, free-of-charge, shortly thereafter.

In the future I’ll be giving away many more books and resources–sometimes multiple items per giveaway. So check back next Friday!

Update: The drawing is closed for the week of Friday, October 7. Congratulations to Sdeurich for winning this week! Check your e-mail for instructions on receiving the book. If you don’t see an e-mail from me, check your spam box–apparently e-mails with “giveaway” in the subject line often end up there.
