Living the Sacraments: Grace Into Action
by Bert Ghezzi

Today’s giveaway is a great book by our resident saint-expert, Bert Ghezzi. Living the Sacraments: Grace Into Action (Servant, paperback, 176 pages) deals with a question many people have about the sacraments: how do I “get the most” out of them? Bert’s book answers beautifully using Scripture, the saints, wise guidance, and warm personal stories. Just read some of the endorsements:

“The sacraments are the normal way that Christians comes to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. That’s the way Jesus meant it to be. That the way this book tells it so well.”
Scott Hahn, author, speaker, professor

“It takes a gifted writer to explore the sacraments in a way that does justice to their depth, but also makes their meaning come alive for the average believer. Living the Sacraments is an excellent reflection on the heart of the Catholic life by an author at the top of his form.”
Archbishop Charles Chaput, O.F.M. CAP., Archbishop of Philadelphia

“Bert has done it again with Living the Sacraments. When read with attention and put into practice, this book could change your life.”
Ralph Martin, author and EWTN host

In order to win this week’s giveaway, leave a comment below answering this question:

What’s the most profound experience you’ve had with the sacraments?

The winning comments will be randomly selected on Friday morning using a random number generator, and the giveaway will be sent out, free-of-charge, shortly thereafter to the three winners.
In the future I’ll be giving away many more books and resources–sometimes multiple items per giveaway. So check back next Friday!

Update: The drawing is closed for the week of Friday, March 16. Congratulations to Thomas J. for winning this week! Check your e-mail for instructions on receiving the book. If you don’t see an e-mail from me, check your spam box–apparently e-mails with “giveaway” in the subject line often end up there.
