For the last few months I’ve been working with the incredibly talented John Flynn at Kickstart Media to create a new website.
My old blog, The Thin Veil (ThinVeil.net), was hosted through Google’s Blogger service. I still like Blogger, and still think it’s the easiest blogging service to get up-and-running with, but my new site is self-hosted on WordPress and allows me do a whole lot more.
There’s also the aesthetical improvement that comes with a new site. Just look at the difference between the old one and the new one (click to enlarge):
John did a great job with the look, and he packed in several extra features. One of my favorites is the banner at the bottom of the site. It features twelves of my greatest heroes, and when you click on each one you’ll see all the posts I’ve written on him or her. (Bonus points to anyone who can name all twelve!)
I couldn’t be more pleased with the site. So whether you’re an author, blogger, speaker, parish, diocese, or organization, if you’re in the market for a new website I *highly* recommend John’ s Kickstart Media. His sites are beautiful and functional, and he made the whole transition a breeze.
Check out some of the other work he’s done for some of my friends:
- ConversionDiary.com (Jennifer Fulwiler)
- FOCUS.org (Fellowship of Catholic University Students)
- GratefulConvert.com (Kevin Lowry)
- LegatusMagazine.com (Legatus Magazine)
- PatrickMadrid.com (Patrick Madrid)
So look around the site and tell me what you think!
I’d love to get some feedback. Just comment below or contact me through email.
